LibreVitals™ by Hawke Robinson and sponsored by Dev 2 Dev Portal LLC, is an Open Source Health Vital Statistics Tracking Wearable Private Data Stored On User's Device(s) Only

LibreVital™ is an open-source Flutter application focused on health tracking where users control ALL of their data. Unlike mainstream health tracking apps that share data with Apple, Google, or other third parties, LibreVital ensures your health data remains exclusively on your device or your own servers.

In addition to the device data from watches, rings, bands, EEG, BCI, neurotech, it includes a full eco-system of privacy, such "LibreMailCal" aka "Dev 2 Dev Mail+Cal" (D2D Mail+Cal) by Hawke Robinson, for privacy-first fully cross-platform open source flutter-based email, contacts, and calendaring for:

  • Linux
  • macOS
  • Windows
  • Android
  • iOS
  • Web (self-hosted)

🎯 Our Mission

To give individuals genuine ownership of their health data through open-source software and open hardware, with privacy and user control as the starting point rather than an afterthought.

📖 What "LibreVitals" Means

Libre (French): free in the sense of unrestricted, independent, liberated. Vitals (English): the things essential for life and functioning, such as vital signs and vital organs.

Health data is among the most personal information that exists. "Your data, your rules" means you control:

  • Where it is stored: your device, your server, or a trusted provider of your choice
  • Who and what has access: your decision, revocable at any time
  • What may and may not be done with it: no selling, no exploitation, no unauthorized use
  • How long it is retained: your retention policy rather than corporate convenience
  • Export and portability: your data in open formats, so you can leave anytime

🔒 Privacy-First Approach

  • Zero Data Leakage: No data is transmitted to external services unless explicitly initiated by the user
  • Local-First Storage: All health data stays on your device by default
  • Self-Hosting Options: Advanced users can store their data on their own web server or other devices
  • No Tracking: No analytics, no usage metrics, no telemetry
  • Open Source Stack: Full transparency about what happens with your data

🎯 Project Goals

  1. Create a fully-featured health tracking application that respects user privacy completely
  2. Support open-source hardware wearable devices (Halo, OpenHAK, UNA, etc.) that aren't compromised by corporate surveillance
  3. Provide a viable alternative to mainstream health apps for privacy-conscious users
  4. Enable users to own and control their complete health dataset
  5. Build a community of developers and users who value digital sovereignty

👥 Use Cases

  • Individual health management — track vital signs, fitness, nutrition, and medications; share selectively with providers; keep lifelong records under your control
  • Family health — manage children's records, coordinate elder care, and set emergency access for trusted individuals
  • Chronic condition management — track symptoms, treatments, and outcomes; identify patterns; maintain continuity across providers
  • Research and citizen science — contribute anonymized data on an opt-in basis while keeping data sovereignty
  • Healthcare providers — patient-controlled data sharing alongside existing systems
  • Athletics and performance — track training and progress and share selectively with coaches, with no corporate access to your training data

⚖️ The LibreVitals Difference

Many health apps and devices harvest and monetize your data, lock you into proprietary ecosystems, and make export difficult. LibreVitals is being built on the opposite principles:

  • You control 100% of your health data
  • Open-source, auditable, and transparent
  • Security-first architecture, responsive to vulnerabilities
  • Easy data export in open formats, anytime
  • Nothing sold or shared without your explicit permission

🚧 Current Status

  • This project began on April 26, 2025. Began the very early pre-alpha stage (v0.0.1) and actively working on the initial architecture and design.
  • Status Update February 20th, 2026. Adding the LilbreMailCal as part of the growing suite of privacy-first-control-your-own-data apps and self-hosted server ecosystem open source offerings by Hawke Robinson ("The Grandfather of Therapeutic Gaming") and Dev 2 Dev Portal LLC.
